About Rayco

A Bit of History About Rayco of Schenectady Inc.

Rayco of Schenectady Inc. was founded as a turbine blade and bucket polishing operation in the mid 1970’s. We were incorporated as Rayco Of Schenectady Inc. in 1985. While continuing to polish blades and buckets, the company also added, metal finishing operations, servicing the generator and turbine industry. Rayco Of Schenectady Inc. fully transformed into a metal finishing operation in 1993, with over 15 finishing process’s.

After 12 years of servicing the power gen and paper industries, we added our first CNC machine in 2006. The complete operation has steadily grown into a full service ISO 9001:2015 certified precision parts and metal finishing operation. Located in the City of Amsterdam NY, our physical footprint has increased from 6000 sq. ft. in 1993 to over 36,000 sq. ft. currently. Our services now include 12 metal finishes, powder coating , polishing , abrasive blasting, vertical milling , horizontal milling, horizontal turning, surface grinding and Waterjet cutting. All processes are certified under our ISO 9001:2015 quality system.

We look forward to future growth and improvement, while keeping the same Family owned foundation and principles, that have served our customers well, for over 30 years.
